Getting a Honey-bee-sting is no fun. Moreover, the pain can last up to several hours, even days if no correct remedial measures are applied immediately. Since summer time is at its peak, people who work in their gardens have high risk of getting stung by a bee. Fortunately, there are now a bunch of home remedies that you can use to get relief of the stung and the pain.

But before you begin with any of the below given remedies, it is important to make sure that you have remove the stung from the skin. The black spot in the bite area is the sting, which needs to be removed and cleaned to prevent venom from spreading. You can use tweezers to pull out the sting or simply wash the bite area with soap and water.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This has been one of the most effective remedy for bee-sting since ancient times. Simple soak cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and apply it to the sting. It might burn for a while, but in just a matter of seconds you will start feeling relief from the pain.

Baking Soda

Baking soda can be found in every kitchen and its uses are unlimited. Those who are aware of the wonders of baking soda must already know that it can heal a bee sting within unnoticeable time, giving instant relief. All you need to do is mix together a small amount of baking water in water and make a thick paste. Apple the paste on the sting directly and allow it to try. Wash the paste once the swelling and pain have gone.

Garlic Cloves

Take 2-3 cloves of garlic cloves and crush them. Apply the juice released from the cloves on the bite area and press it with a cotton ball. Keep the pressure until the swelling and pain have subsided.

Honey

Honey is the mother of all home remedies, best known for its antiseptic qualities it can be used best for Honey-bee-stings. Take a small amount of honey and apply it directly to the bite area. You may add a pinch of turmeric to it for added benefits.

Mud

This remedy has been around since ancient period and even today, a lot of people follow it as the only means to get rid of bee-sting pain and swelling. Take a handful of mud and make a paste by adding water to it. Apple the mud paste directly to the bee sting and let it dry. Clean the mud once the pain and swelling have disappeared.

Tobacco

Tobacco may be bad for your health, but it has a lot of benefits as well. As soon as you get Honey-bee-sting, get a pack of tobacco or cigarette to apply to the sting. Break the cigarette into half and take out the tobacco content from it. Take loose tobacco and apply it all over the bite area. Press it against the sting until the swelling and pain ward off.

Cold Compress

Applying cold compresses around the affected eye area can help you to get instant relief. The simplest way to do this is to soak a cloth in ice cold water and place it over your eyes. Do this several times a day.
Chamomile tea bags used as cold compresses can also help relieve itching eyes.
  1. Put used chamomile tea bags in the refrigerator for half an hour.
  2. Place the chilled tea bags over the affected eye(s) for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Do this three to four times a day for fast recovery.

Cucumber

Cucumbers have anti-irritation properties that help in reducing inflammation, puffiness, swelling and irritation contributing to itchy eyes.
  1. Thoroughly wash a cucumber and cut it into thin slices. Refrigerate the slices for 15 to 20 minutes, and then put them over your eyes for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Repeat the process four to five times a day.

Cold Milk

Milk is also one of the popular home remedies for itchy eyes.
  1. Dab a cotton ball in cold milk and rub it around the eyes. You can also place a cotton ball soaked in milk on the eyes as a compress for an instant cooling effect.
  2. Do this twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening.

Alternatively, you can blend them in a blender.  Mix in a few drops of juice from an orange or a lemon. Apply the mask on your face and leave it for about 15 minutes before rinsing with a cool absorbent soft washcloth or a steaming warm washcloth – as per your choice.  Follow with your regular moisturizer, if needed.

Home Remedies for Foot Odor

Foot odor or smelly feet, technically known as bromhidrosis, can be really embarrassing for those suffering from this problem.

This usually occurs when your feet sweat and the sweat does not evaporate because you are wearing shoes or socks. Bacteria naturally present on your skin grow as they feed on the sweat and dead skin cells, producing the foul smell.
Lavender Oil

Lavender oil not only smells good but also helps kill bacteria. Plus, it has antifungal properties that are effective in treating foot odor.
  1. Put a few drops of lavender essential oil in warm water.
  2. Soak your feet in it for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Repeat twice daily for a few days.

Alum:
Alum powder has astringent and antiseptic properties. Thus, it inhibits the growth of bacteria.
  1. Mix one teaspoon of alum powder in one cup of warm water.
  2. Wash your feet with this solution.
  3. After 15 to 20 minutes, dry your feet thoroughly and then sprinkle some alum powder on them.
  4. Do this once daily.

Lemons

  2. Scrub your cracked heels using a pumice stone.
  3. Wash your feet and pat dry with a towel.

Rosewater and Glycerin
The combination of glycerin and rose water makes an effective home treatment for cracked heels. Glycerin softens the skin, which is why it is widely used in cosmetics. Rose water adds vitamins A, B3, C, D, and E as well as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties.
Just mix equal amounts of glycerin and rose water thoroughly and rub it on your heels and feet daily before going to bed at night.
