Home Remedies For Stretch Marks

Stretch marks can make you feel self-conscious and uncomfortable about your appearance. Fortunately, there are several natural ways to reduce the appearance of stretch marks.

Castor Oil
Castor oil, which is used in the treatment of a number of skin problems such as wrinkles, age spots, moles, dark spots, fine lines and pimples, can also be used to get rid of stretch marks.

  • Apply some castor oil to the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Wrap the area with a thin, cotton cloth. Using a hot water bottle or a heating pad, apply some heat to the affected area for at least a half an hour.
  • Repeat this process daily for a minimum of one month to notice positive results.

Potato Juice
Potato juice contains vitamins and minerals that foster growth and restoration of skin cells.

  • Cut a medium-sized potato into thick slices.
  • Take one of the potato pieces and rub it gently on the stretch marks for a few minutes. Make sure the starch from the potato covers the affected area.
  • Allow the potato juice to dry for some time and then wash it off with lukewarm water.

Home Remedy For Open Pores

Open or large pores on the skin are a beauty concern for many and can also contribute to problems like acne and blackheads, especially for people with oily skin. Similarly, open pores worsen with increasing age as the skin loses elasticity. Genetics, stress, and a poor skin care routine also contribute to open pores. You can try some inexpensive, easy and natural home remedies to minimize the appearance of open pores.
Baking Soda
Baking soda works as a gentle exfoliating agent, removing excess oil, dirt and debris from your skin.

  • Mix two tablespoons each of baking soda and lukewarm water.
  • Apply the mixture on your skin and massage in circular motion for a few seconds.
  • Finally, rinse it off with cool water.
  • Repeat the process daily for five to seven days. Then reduce the frequency to three to five times a week for a few weeks.

Ice
Ice works as a simple and effective home remedy to help shrink large pores due to its skin tightening effect.

  • Wrap a few ice cubes in a clean washcloth and hold it on your skin for 15 to 30 seconds. Do this a few times daily. You can reduce the frequency of use when you see improvement.
  • Alternatively, you can simply wash your face with ice cold water once daily.
  • To enhance the benefits of this remedy, infuse the water for ice cubes with cucumber juice, apple juice, green tea or rose water.

Home Remedies For Skin Allergy

Learn how to treat common symptoms of allergic reactions, including rashes and anaphylaxis. Allergic reactions can cause hives, rashes, and other skin irritations. Minor allergic reactions can be safely treated at home..

Aloe Vera
We love aloe vera for just about every kind of skin irritation. Aloe is probably best-known for its ability to heal sunburns, but it’s extremely versatile as it soothes the skin and relieves swelling and irritation. If you live in Southern California, there’s probably an 85% chance it’s already growing in your yard.

How to use it:
Break off a leaf from the plant, and cut it open lengthwise from top to bottom with a knife. Scoop out the gooey gel inside, and rub it directly onto irritated skin. If you have extra left over, you can keep it refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week.

Clay
Clay is very helpful for itching and a number of other skin issues such as acne. The clay helps draw the venom out of the skin, which will help relieve the pain and let the sting heal more quickly.

How to use it:
Mix the clay in a bowl or cup with a bit of filtered water until it has a creamy consistency like peanut butter.Place the clay-covered cloth to the irritated area, with the clay directly touching the skin (see the picture on the right). You can use bandaging tape or wrap it in plastic wrap to keep the cloth in place and protect your clothing and furniture. Keep the clay pack on for about 4 hours, or until the clay is hard and dry. Then, just dab the clay paste onto itchy areas, let it dry, then rinse or peel it off.
