Home Remedies For Dizziness

Dizziness with a feeling of spinning is referred to as vertigo, which is different from the nonspecific light-headedness.If your dizziness is not very frequent, you can try some natural home remedies to take care of the problem.

Deep Breathing 
Deep breathing is one of the best ways to deal with dizziness. It will help provide an adequate amount of oxygen to the brain, which in turn will relax the nervous system and reduce dizziness.

  • Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.
  • Place one hand on your abdomen, place the thumb of your other hand against one nostril and close your mouth.
  • Inhale slowly through your open nostril and try to fill your belly with air.
  • Hold the breath in, close both nostrils and purse your lips.
  • After 2 to 3 seconds, exhale slowly and try to extract air from your belly.
  • Repeat these steps 10 times.
  • Then, sit quietly for 5 minutes and breathe normally to avoid getting dizzy again.

Drink Water 
Dehydration is a common cause of dizziness. This can be due to not drinking water for a long time or failing to rehydrate your body during and after exercise. Dehydration can also result from vomiting or diarrhea that causes excessive fluid loss.

  • When you feel dizzy, try drinking a glass of water. To keep dehydration and dizziness at bay, drink an ample amount of water throughout the day.
  • You can also try drinking herbal tea with a little honey, soups and broths, or fruit juices.

Turmeric
Turmeric has strong antiseptic properties that help reduce phlegm by killing the bacteria that cause excessive mucus production. Also, turmeric helps strengthen the immune system.

  • Add one teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of hot milk. 
  • Drink it once in the morning and again before going to bed.
  • Swallow one-half teaspoon of turmeric with a glass of water two or three times a day.
  • Add one tablespoon of turmeric and a pinch of salt to a glass of hot water. Use it to gargle several times a day.


Lemon Juice
Lemon is a great ingredient for loosening mucus and phlegm. Plus, lemon’s antibacterial property and high vitamin C content improves the body’s resistance to infections.


  • Add two teaspoons of lemon juice and one tablespoon of honey to a glass of hot water. Drink this at least three times a day to soothe your throat and reduce phlegm production.
  • Another simple option is to cut a slice of lemon, sprinkle a little bit of salt and pepper on it and then suck on the lemon slice. It will help force the phlegm out of your throat. Do this two or three times a day.

Directions:
1. In a small pot, pour boiling water over the dried peppermint and chamomile. Cover and steep for 10 minutes, then strain into a teacup.
2. Drink up to three cups a day to help ease intestinal cramps.

Soothing Tea for Heartburn
Licorice, ginger, and chamomile are traditional, easy-to-make, and inexpensive digestive tract soothers that still work wonders for occasional flare-ups of heartburn.

Ingredients:
• 1 cup water
• 1 teaspoon grated licorice root
• 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger
• 1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers

Directions:
1. In a small pan, bring the water to a boil. Add the licorice and ginger. Simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and add chamomile. Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
2. Strain into a teacup and drink.
