Epsom Salt Soak
A classic remedy for any muscle or joint ache is a relaxing bath with Epsom Salts. High in magnesium and sulfates, they are easily absorbed through the skin to provide quick relief and reduce inflammation. Add two cups of salts to warm bathwater and soak for at least twenty minutes. Alternatively, Epsom Salts can be used in a compress to apply directly to the skin. Simply dilute two cups into one gallon of water. You can also try an epsom salt with lavender, or other essential oils.

Hot and Cold Packs
For immediate joint pain, try a hot and cold approach. Apply a hot therapeutic gel pack to the affected area for twenty minutes. Immediately follow up with a cold ice pack for another twenty. If you can’t stand the severity of ice, let it thaw out while you are applying heat. Even a chilled pack will bring relief.

2. Add 1 tsp rock salt

6. Rinse mouth with water

Natural home remedy using salt:
1. Take 1 glass lukewarm water
2. Add 2 tsp normal salt
3. Mix well
4. Rinse mouth with this solution once in the morning and once at bedtime.

  • To reduce your risk of angina as well as other heart diseases, eat about a handful of roasted almonds daily. 


Garlic
Garlic can lower high cholesterol and prevent plaque buildup on the arterial walls, which in turn improves the flow of oxygen-rich blood to your heart.


  • Add ½ teaspoon of garlic juice to a cup of hot water and drink it.
  • As a preventive measure, eat 1 to 2 raw garlic cloves with water every morning on an empty stomach.

1. In a small pan, bring the water to a boil. Add the licorice and ginger. Simmer for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and add chamomile. Cover and steep for 10 minutes.
2. Strain into a teacup and drink.

Home Remedies For Knee Pain

Pain in the knees can be caused by weakened bone structure, and wear and tear due to aging. These remedies are most helpful for mild to moderate pain caused by overuse, lack of use or improper training.


Ginger
Whether knee pain is due to arthritis, muscle strain or injury, ginger is an effective remedy to alleviate the pain. Its effectiveness comes from the presence of anti-inflammatory compounds in it. Ginger can reduce swelling on the knee as well as the pain.

  • Add a small piece of ginger root to one cup of water and boil it for 10 minutes. Strain and add a little honey and lemon juice. Drink two to three cups of this ginger tea daily until the pain is gone.
  • You can also massage the affected knee with ginger oil two or three times a day until you are satisfied with the results.
           

Lemon
Lemon has also been found beneficial as a home remedy for knee pain caused by arthritis. The citric acid found in lemon works as a solvent for uric acid crystals, which is the cause of some types of arthritis.

  • Cut one lemon into small pieces.
  • Tie the pieces in a cotton cloth and dip the it in warm sesame oil.
  • Place the cloth on the affected knee for five to 10 minutes.
  • Do this twice daily until the pain is gone completely.

Home Remedies for Gas

 An uncontrollable fart at an inconvenient time can make a person the butt of jokes for years to come. But problematic gas is no laughing matter.


Excess gas in the stomach can be caused by a number of things, such as excessive drinking, not chewing your food thoroughly, eating spicy and gas-forming food, too much stress, some kind of bacterial infection, or digestive disorders.

Symptoms of stomach gas include flatulence, bad breath, lack of appetite, a coating on the tongue, abdominal bloating, belching and even stomach pain.

1. Fennel
Fennel is surely the best ingredient for fast relief from bloating and gas.


Add a few fennel seeds to a pot of hot water and let it simmer it for five minutes on a low temperature. Strain the solution and then drink it.
You can also chew fresh fennel leaves if you can bear the taste.
Alternatively, you can mix fennel, cardamom and mint leaves and boil them in water to make a concoction that can help with stomach gas.

2. Cardamom
This is another common kitchen spice that can speed up digestion and give you relief from stomach gas.


Simply add some roasted cardamom powder to vegetables, rice or lentils before cooking to prevent gas.
You can also chew whole pods of cardamom two or three times a day to relieve stomach gas.
You can make a tea by steeping a few pods of cardamom along with a small slice of fresh ginger and one teaspoon of fennel in boiling water for several minutes. Drink this tea warm, several times a day.
The next time you have stomach gas, just try any of these natural remedies. However, if you suffer from this problem on a regular basis, keep a close eye on your diet and, if needed, see your doctor.

3. Peppermint
Peppermint can be used in different ways to treat a gas problem.


Make tea by adding some fresh peppermint leaves to a cup of boiling water and letting it steep for a few minutes. Strain it and add some honey. Drink the tea two or three times a day.
You can also chew some peppermint leaves for quick relief.
Alternatively, you can put two drops of peppermint oil in one-half cup of cool water and drink it once or twice daily.
